One of the best Japanese restaurants in the city. Second time here with the GF. Service is 10/10, takes the empty dishes fast, keeps drinks filled, music and energy here is SO nice. ****** Tonkotsu Black ramen was great the first time I came, near perfect besides the broth being a bit too fishy. This time I ordered the "chef special" Tokyo Tonkotsu ramen, the fishy taste was enjoyable this time!! Rich, fragrant and the noodles were a thindense style noodle that was unlike most ramen, but I enjoyed it! ****** Takoyaki might be the best I've had, I would ask for less teriyaki sauce next time (too sweet for my tastes). ****** GF loves the impossible meat gyoza.

My friend brought me here and it was my first experience. Won’t be my last I didn’t anticipate such an inexpensive menu, but extremely worth exceptional service and food. Best margarita I’ve ever had.

Really good ramen served really quickly. The Tan Tan Men has a nice spicy yet unctuous flavour. The sesame flavour is there but was nicely balanced by the spice of the chili oil. The serving size was appropriate to leave you feeling full. The value is good for the quality. The wait staff and hostess were pleasant. Definitely a place to try if you are in the area.

Legitimate review of a Family Night Worth Slurping Over: Our Visit to JINYA Ramen Bar. We had been watching the signs go up for weeks—JINYA Ramen was coming to Edmonton. As ramen lovers, my spouse and I had been counting down the days. There’s something about the promise of a warm, rich broth on a chilly evening that pulls you in. So when the doors finally opened, we didn’t hesitate. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere pulled us in. The lighting was soft and golden, the design sleek and modern with just the right touch of cozy. It wasn’t just a restaurant—it felt like a space designed to slow you down, to make you sit, sip, and enjoy. And that’s exactly what we did. We started with the Salmon Poke tacos in our first visit, together with the tempura Brussels sprouts. One bite and we paused, exchanging that look—the one that says *yep, this was a good idea*. The crispy shell, the fresh, melt-in-your-mouth salmon, the hint of spice—it was the perfect bite to open the meal. But the Brussels sprouts was better in my opinion . Then came the ramen. We ordered two kinds to explore the menu, and each bowl arrived like a work of art: vibrant, aromatic, inviting. The broth was rich and comforting, the noodles perfectly cooked with a little bounce, and the toppings thoughtfully prepared. While we agreed that the flavor profile could go just a bit deeper—a pinch more boldness, maybe—a lot of care clearly went into each bowl. It was satisfying in a way that lingers. The service was just as warm as the food. Our server was friendly, attentive, and struck that perfect balance of letting us enjoy our evening while always being close enough if we needed anything. In the end, it was exactly the kind of night we’d hoped for—delicious, memorable, and wrapped in a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a long-time ramen fan or new to the scene, JINYA offers something special without overcomplicating it. **TLDR; Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back. Wish the Brussels sprouts tempura were larger portion though and take note of the parking as it is difficult to find some. Try your best to visit on a different time preferably earlier or else you might be waiting in line.

We were in the mood for ramen and this place hit the spot. When we arrived, it took a couple minutes for us to get seated. I ordered the Spicy Creamy Vegan ramen and my boyfriend got the Tan Tan men. Wait time wasn't so bad. Usually when I get ramen anywhere, I like trying their chicken ramen but seeing their vegan option was intriguing to me. Once I had my first bite, I knew I picked a really good dish. I'm not vegan in the slightest but that ramen was amazing. The noodles were cooked well, had a great consistency and was chewy but not too soft. All the toppings tasted fresh. I loved the nice bite of onion or green onion with my noodles. And don't even get me started on the broth. That was my favorite part by far. It was rich, creamy, savory, and had umami. It had a good amount of spice but wasn't overpowering, it complemented everything. I'm always curious how ramen places execute their vegan ramen, and Jinya did it very well. We came at the perfect time because other parties were filling up the dining area. It was a little difficult getting our server at the end so we can pay since he was the only one taking orders, serving, and checking on tables. But when he did check up on us and when we could catch him, he was friendly and helpful. But really though, he was doing so much. He even brought other parties to their tables too. I was confused because he had other coworkers but he was doing almost everything. Anyways, I have no complaints. Food was wonderful. I loved my ramen so much that I was out there lifting my bowl to my face drinking all the broth leftover. No broth left behind because it was just that amazing. I absolutely loved this place and their ramen.

I was so happy to see that JINYA was opening in Edmonton. It was an absolute favourite of mine in Vancouver and the quality definitely carries over! I brought my Mum with me for her very first proper ramen experience and she was also very impressed. I'm not vegan, but my favourite dish is the spicy creamy vegan ramen with a ramen egg on the side. Divine. Love the atmosphere and the staff were so lovely! We could really tell they care about your experience as a diner. Can't wait to bring others to try this place!

Great place in great atmosphere, but I would definitely come here again for the food itself! I’m a big fan of the Tan Tan man Ramen but nothing ever beats the tonkatsu. I also ended up trying the takoyaki and that was great as well! I would definitely revisit and wanna try more items but cool spot on Jasper. I will definitely go here and give it a bite.

This place was wonderful! Me and my husband were looking forward to checking it out before it was opened, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The interior looked amazing, the atmosphere, style, aesthetic, presentation, everything about it I loved. And the food matched it. We tried two ramens, they were incredible, fresh, so rich in flavour. We also tried their salmon tacos, which we loved as well. Crispy shell with a fresh delicious salmon, it was a perfect bite. The servers were warm and kind and did a great job as well. Overall, we would highly recommend!
